ever since i was …
ever since i was little kid ,they scared the crap out of me . I have seen them all hundreds of times , and like i said i own part 1 through Freddy vs Jason .I looked deeper into it online and it seems like its debatable as to whether jason was dead or not , but im pretty sure they original writers intended it to be that way .if you thin about he came back from the dead on part 4 even , he took an axe to the haed pretty deep and was in the morgue even , that means your deader than a door nail .

Jason cant be canged 2 a normal dude with sum “issues” because jason die wen he was 11 wen the other kids at camp crystal or w/er rowned him in the lake be wen his mum getss her head cut off jason suddenly awakes from the lake knowing she died and kills every1…he has the power of and his mum on his side no normal dude (with issues) can do tht!!!!!

Apparently they lied about their own movie. Jason would have to be “undead” to rise from the lake after drowning(dying) Here is the exact Synopsis. Spoilers beware:
The remake will actually compact the key events of the first three Friday 13th movies. So, after negligent camp councillors let a young Jason drown, his mother comes to Camp Crystal Lake seeking murderous revenge. She is beheaded by a councillor, then Jason rises from the lake to continue her work.

The story is that …
The story is that Jason drowned(died) as a young child. He comes back with the power of his dead mother and within him. If they were to just make him an insane mentally challenged “man” seeking revenge, it wouldn’t make any sense at all.
When they remade TCM they did a great job with Leather Face. He was a normal man that could feel pain, but had a strong threshold for it. Jason is supposed to be “supernatural” in nature and is ‘meant’ to be a Super unstoppable killing machine.
