you see makuta, the story behind it is jason as a kid killed a boys best friend and mother so the boy drowned jason in the lake, he died, the boy came back to make sure jason was dead, accidentaly brought jason back to life, and jason was on the run to kill the boy and avenge his mother who was stabbed trying to kill all of the councellers who she thought let jason die. but i do agree he is not affraid of water for his mother tonld him he has a gift that he may never die. so i hope that helps.

jason is NOT afriad of water he killed 3 ppl in water and in part 6 he walked in water freddy vs. jason had lies about jason being afraid water pamela said jason wasnt a good swimmer in part 1 and he drownded becas everybody thought he was a monster and he came back out of the water so hes not afriad of water.
